SUMMARY:ESG in Construction Law (19 May 2026)
DESCRIPTION:TCHS President Catherine Loke and TCHS Treasurer Anil Changaroth will be speaking at the The Society of Construction Law (Singapore)’s seminar on ESG in Construction Law on 19 May 2026. True to our Vision & Mission to bring about an Ecologically Responsible Way of Life\, the seminar will address fundamental principles that make us sustainable (or not). If you want to look deeper than the current ESG strategy to “transition to net-zero” through carbon accounting\, this is the seminar for you. \nAbout this Seminar \nThis seminar will provide a practical construction law perspective on Environmental\, Social\, and Governance (ESG) requirements in Singapore’s built environment sector. We will examine the deeper ecological context that should underpin ESG obligations—including the planetary boundaries framework and the growing recognition that sustainability requires more than carbon reduction alone —alongside the rapidly expanding landscape of climate change litigation and Singapore’s emerging role as a dispute resolution hub for climate-related disputes. Moving beyond policy discussions\, the seminar will address the contractual allocation of ESG risks\, regulatory compliance and emerging dispute issues. The session is designed to contribute to the development of consistent industry approaches to ESG in construction law\, including the evolution of standard clauses\, risk allocation models and best practices that may inform future SCL(S) guidance and protocol development. \nClick >>here for the seminar brochure. \nRegister >>here \nTCHS Members will enjoy a $30 discount. \nThis seminar is organised by
