Come and experience permaculture, and join us as we construct a new Bamboo Pergola Entrance to the M.a.D. Garden @Winstedt on

Sunday, 23 February 2025, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

at 10 Winstedt Road (adjacent to The Malayan Council restaurant)

We will start with a garden tour from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. where you will learn how permaculture design can transform urban spaces into healthy ecosystems.

Then you will get to use your hands – we will harvest bamboo, fabricate and construct a new Bamboo Pergola.

To complete the experience, you will get to sample food and drink made from our garden produce – what you can eat and drink may surprise you!

What to bring

Bring your own gloves, water, hat and sunscreen.

You can also bring your veggie scraps and fruit peel for composting (but no cooked items or any animal products, please).
