Would you like to do your bit for food security in Singapore?
Roll up your sleeves and join us on

*(you can come any time within this period)
to work on the urban farm at
Level 5 of Beauty World Centre.
You will be meeting urban farming enthusiasts
Tan Jing Xiang and Nicholas Chin,
and helping in soil mixing, planting and composting.
You can also bring your veggie scraps and fruit peel for composting
(but no cooked items or any animal products, please).
About the Hosts
Tan Jing Xiang holds a Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Management (Ngee Ann Polytechnic), a Master of Architecture (NUS) and a certificate in Sustainable Soil Management (Wageningen University), and is currently enrolled in Dr. Elaine’s Soil Food Web School. Jing Xiang has worked as a project manager for 6 years. Jing Xiang currently applies his skills and horticultural knowledge in landscape design and implementation to help transform Singapore into a City in Nature while promoting sustainable and healthy soil.
Nicholas Chin holds a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences (NTU), specialising in molecular cell biology. In his spare time, Nicholas reads up on the animal kingdom, microbial interactions and biological processes whereby he applies his knowledge in creating self-sustaining closed system habitat.

How to get there
Nearest MRT Station - Beauty World (Downtown Line)
If coming on foot, go to L4 Food Court and take the Carpark stairs to L5 / Deck 6.
If driving, park anywhere in Carpark Decks 1 to 5, and take the stairs to Deck 6.
