15 September 2026 marked another meaningful gathering for TCHS as we held our 5th Annual Dinner to celebrate friendship, collaboration and shared purpose among members and collaborators. This year, we chose AMGD at Enabling Village because it is more than just a dining spot — it is an inspiring, inclusive social enterprise that creates meaningful employment for persons with disabilities (PWD) and under-served communities, while serving nutritious, chef-curated meals designed for preventive health and sustainability.
To start off the dinner, we were honoured to have AMGD co-founder Rita Zahara tell us about the history of AMGD. As Singapore’s first inclusive, halal-certified superfood restaurant, AMGD embodies the idea of “food as a force for good”, aligning closely with TCHS’s values of human sustainability and community impact.

As thirty-eight members and guests from diverse fields came together, the evening provided a wonderful opportunity for catching up, discussing ideas and enjoying a wholesome dinner. We also took the opportunity to showcase our ResourCity board game, sparking engaging conversations around resource management, community systems and sustainability.

In the spirit of true collaboration and looking forward, we are thrilled to share that TCHS will be partnering with AMGD to set up a food forest right there at Enabling Village, supporting their farm-to-table concept and further embedding sustainability into the local community space. This initiative will grow edible plants for the restaurant while creating new learning and more inclusive employment and volunteer opportunities around urban agriculture, nutrition and social impact.
As we shared a meal in such a purpose-driven environment, the discussions flowed freely — reaffirming our collective dedication to building a more ecologically responsible way of life and connected society.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for making the evening so special, warm and memorable!
